We're now registering youth ages 7 - 12 for our Summer Camps. Your child does not need to be a 4-H member to enjoy our camping
Discovery Days: K-State Campus in Manhattan: June 3-6
This one-of-a-kind overnight camp gives all youth ages 13 – 18 an opportunity to explore 4-H projects, gain leadership and communication skills, and experience K-State’s campus. 4-H membership is not required. Participants should anticipate paying an additional fee for transportation. Visit www.kansas4-H.org for registration details.
Campference and Discovery Days Scholarships
Our Johnson County 4-H Ambassadors group is excited to announce that we have sponsored scholarships for our Johnson County 4-Hers to attend two great state events: Discovery Days & Campference.
Campference: June 23-26
This event is for youth ages 12-14 (as of Jan. 1, 2014). Campference will be held June 23-26 at the Rock Springs 4-H Center near Junction City, KS. Participants will experience the feel of a conference while enjoying camp activities. Transportation will not be provided to this conference. However carpooling will be encouraged. Fantastic 4-H Overnight Camp: June 8-11

This camp is a four day/three night camp experience for ALL youth ages 7-12. 4-H membership is not required. Campers will ride horses, go canoeing, hike the trails and jump in the pool. Your camper will sing songs by the campfire, make crafts and meet new friends. Camp is located at Rock Springs 4-H Center near Junction City, KS. Transportation is provided.

Summer Day Camps:
Cooking Camp: June 17-19
This day camp series is sure to be a hit with your chef! Youth ages 7 – 11 will learn from the Extension Master Food Volunteers and local culinary experts. Campers will gain skills in food safety, preparation and nutrition through this hands-on series. Registration, payment and a Kansas 4-H Participation Form are due by June 13, 2014. The cost for camp is $50 and will take place from 9:00 am to noon.
Weird-Wacky-and Sometimes Edible Science: June 24-26
Molecules, matter and gum drops! We will spend our mornings experimenting with different ingredients to see if we are eating iron, using enzymes, or creating polymers. Camp is open to kids ages 9-12. The cost for camp is $30 and will take place from 9:00 am to noon.
Science Explorations: July 8-10
Explore, discover and create! Build gliders, make balancing toys, or use your imagination in our maker’s space. Camp is open to kids ages 9-12. The cost for camp is $30 and will take place from 9:00 am to noon.
