Rick grew up in the small central Missouri town of Bunceton. After graduating from Lincoln University with a B.S. in Natural Resource Management, Rick traveled to work in Kiowa County, Kansas. Rick moved to Johnson County in 1985 as Agriculture Agent.  In 1995 he became Director. In 2009, Rick returned to his passion as an educator and became the Agriculture and Community Development agent.
