Johnson County crop and livestock producers have some great opportunities for learning new information in January 2014. Consider attending the following:

Beef Cattle Winter Ranch Management
Beef Cattle Producers of any size and scope are highly encouraged to attend. We will be discussing nutrition, supplementation, and forage and pasture management, reproduction considerations, and several other applicable subjects in the beef cattle industry.

Farmland and Machinery Leasing
Learn about creating equitable leases for farmland: both cash rent and crop share.  We’ll also discuss financing equipment purchases and the alternatives of leasing versus installment payment plans.

Johnson County Livestock Association Annual Meeting
The incidence of toxic blue-green algae’s is on the rise. Learn how to identify and manage around these unusual algae that are showing up in area lakes and ponds. The consequences could be deadly if not managed properly.
