Class Descriptions
November 11 — Lowering Your Blood Pressure
According to recent estimates, about one in three U.S. adults has high blood pressure, but because there are no symptoms, nearly one-third of these people don’t know they have it. Often called the silent killer, uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure or kidney failure. This class will show you how to lower your blood pressure through the food decisions you make.
December 9 — Cost-saving Cooking
Since the economic downturn, Americans are making tough decisions in the grocery store aisles. This lesson will feature menu-planning ideas to help you with your tight budget.
